SAC is a non-profit organization founded in 1996. SAC organizes ”…education and action to promote a deeper, healthier, and more resilient community.” SAC wants to be the sustainability hub for our community and to encourage activities that enhance the healthy functioning of our environmental, social-cultural, and economic systems – the three-legged stool of a sustainable community.

SAC’s Food and Energy Working Groups are meeting monthly and discussing what SAC can do to further the goals of energy conservation and a healthy, vibrant local food system. If you are interested in joining either of these groups, please contact SAC at sustainableac@gmail.com.

    Reminder of SAC’s 2010 Stakeholder Meetup and FUNdraiser in cooperation with Green Drinks, Wed February 17th, 6-9pm, at Sharab Lounge downtown. We will discuss what’s happened in the last year and talk about plans for 2010. All proceeds to benefit the Gainesville Environmental Film & Art Festival.
