Permaculture (permanent-culture) is a design strategy which integrates ancient wisdom and appropriate technology for creating regenerative systems. It is much more than a way for growing food, it is a way for creating balance and efficiency in many of the areas that provide for our needs.

The Permaculture Principles:
Care of Earth, Care of People and Fair distribution of surplus.
Design strategies:
Observe and Interact
Catch and Store Energy
Obtain a yield
Apply self-regulation and accept feedback
Use and value renewable resources
Produce no waste
Design from patterns to details
Integrate rather than segregate
Use small and slow solutions
Use and value diversity
Use edges and value the marginal
Creatively use and respond to change
