INTERESTED IN GREEN BUILDING?
ICBE in conjunction with ClimateSafe and Vibrant Community Development are offering a Certified Green Building course aimed at bringing professionals in design, construction, planning, and development up-to-speed on the latest in Certified Green Building products and methods and giving them the tools they need to communicate with other professionals in the field as well as the background to work effectively within it.
COURSE INFO
Hours- Monday- Friday 8am-Noon
When- May 17th-28th
Where- Seagle Building, 3rd Floor (Downtown Gainesville)
Cost- $1650.00 (Free to FloridaWorks eligible Job Seekers*)
LEARN
1. Introduction to Sustainability: Context of Certified Green Building with a Glossary of Green Terms (know the talk)
2. Master Builder Model: The Design/Build Mandate and the Integrated Professional Approach
3. Construction Technologies: High Tech/Low Tech approaches to Design, Construction and Development
4. Emerging Materials: Green Materials, Certified Products, and Chain of Custody
5. Emerging Methods: Certifications (USGBC, FGBC, FSEC), Life Cycle Analysis, and Carbon Footprinting.
6. Tax Advantages, Green Financing, Company Goodwill, and Marketing Advantages
Class size is limited so register early!

1. To be eligible for the program. You must be:
a. 18 years of age or older
b. A United States citizen or authorized to work in the United States
c. Males born after January 1, 1960 must be registered with the U.S.
Selective Service
d. Unemployed or if employed, wages equal to or less than $25.00 per
hour (exceptions may apply)
